We are Paulo and Filipa, two people passionate about crafts and the rich Portuguese culture. It all started with a special affection for our birds – we created and acquired handmade cages for them, and that is when we realized that the world of crafts goes far beyond these objects.
We discovered a universe full of tradition, where ancestral techniques and knowledge are passed down from generation to generation, allowing the creation of unique pieces full of soul.
Our passion for craftsmanship has led us to recognize the value of supporting local artisans, giving them the opportunity to practice their craft while offering our customers products that tell stories.
Our project was born from the desire to make the manual work and creativity of our artisans valued – not only by people looking for exclusive pieces, but also by the cultural and social importance that crafts represent.
At PadaWorks, we believe that craftsmanship can be a powerful tool to promote sustainability. Therefore, we give special emphasis to products that incorporate ecological practices in their manufacture:
Sustainable Tapestries: We collaborate with artisans who use traditional weaving techniques, employing textile fibres recycled from industrial waste. These tapestries not only beautify environments, but also contribute to reducing textile waste and preserving the environment.
Ecological Baskets: Our baskets are made from reclaimed wood and natural fibres, such as wicker and willow, collected responsibly.
The artisanal braiding process respects the cycles of nature and values the conscious use of available resources.
By supporting crafts, we contribute to the sustainability of local communities, promoting employment and ensuring that traditional knowledge is not lost.
Each PadaWorks product is the result of a commitment to quality, authenticity and respect for the culture that unites us
By choosing our products, you support practices that respect the environment and strengthen local communities.
Each piece is the result of careful work, which combines tradition, creativity and ecological responsibility.
An essential symbol of Portuguese culture, the ceramic sardine stands out for its strong national identity and artisanal value. Each piece is carefully molded and painted by hand, reflecting the diversity of styles, colors, and textures that characterize Portuguese folk creativity. No two sardines are alike—the unique prints and variations in finish make each piece unique. More than a decorative element, these pieces celebrate the tradition, originality, and artistic expression of Portuguese craftsmanship, keeping alive one of the most emblematic figures in the national collective imagination.
